Ignatius Piazza is a Four Weapons Combat Master – What Now?

Dr. Ignatius Piazza, founder and director of the nation’s largest firearms training institute – Front Sight – and Four Weapons Combat Master. This title, Four Weapons Combat Master, is one that is very little known. Published quietly in 1981, the Four Weapons Combat Master certification includes some of the most difficult tasks any gun user could ever attempt. It is such a difficult certification that twelve years after its publication, only one man had ever successfully completed the requirements to be considered one of these illustrious masters.

Dr. Ignatius Piazza was the victim of a neighborhood drive-by shooting. Upon realizing that he would not have been able to defend himself or his family had the shooting become a home invasion, Dr. Piazza set out for training of his own. Thousands of hours and many years went into his training, and brought him under the hand of several of the time’s best shooting instructors. After a dozen week-long courses, Dr. Piazza was a certified expert in Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle and Special Pistol. He realized, however, that he wanted to be able to instruct others and be a true master, teaching others precisely what they needed to learn to be completely in control of firearms and their own safety.

Dr. Ignatius Piazza set out on yet more training, working several hours a day every day and renting an entire shooting range on Saturdays to practice. After six months he started taking the examination. Several failures acted to train him further. Finally, in 1993, he became the world’s second Four Weapons Combat Master.

Since then, his project of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute has leapt to enormous heights. Every year, Front Sight trains more students than all other shooting schools in America combined, and the students keep coming back. Small wonder, with Dr. Piazza’s enormous store of knowledge, he has created the world’s finest firearms training, and he now hires only the finest instructors to aid him in teaching America’s gun users.
